Lester;
Like Jeff Ive been using vers 2 Beta pretty much since it was released, It
helps pay my bills so I cant complain, Every time Ive had a question or
problem (some quite stupid) Robert or someone else was fast to respond with
a working solution, When a bug is found it is usually fixed quickly, I like
SheetCam for2-1/2 D and speed but when its got to be quality and control
2-1/2 or 3D Ill take MeshCAM, The developer is open to suggestions and
requests, so I also dont see where the development is lagging, Robert is
writing new code that will further articulate the cut path strategies and
is adding a 4th Axis
Of course he could do as an incredibly complex, difficult to operate and
excessively over priced software like MasterCRAM does and bag you around 17K
up front, then hit you with a maintenance fee ever year, or they just call
it a new version, with incredibly important issues resolved for the engineer
that wants a Puce colored screen or a different design on buttons that you
have to re-learn, sure Ive got lots of extra time to learn a new system
every year and pay out the nose for the privilege, Jeez I wish they would
do something logical like get their cut line or object in line with most CAD
systems, or how about The wonderful folks at Autodesk., Oh right they are
the industry standard so no body minds laying out 5 grand a year for a
different text and a massive memory hog like AutoCAD 2007
No commercial involvement other than my owning an outdated AutoCAD, and a
MeshCAM license, which is one of the better software investments Ive made
along with my Rhino 3D
