Version 21 is nothing more than Version 20, Version 19, etc. They claim these to be "new versions" when in fact they are nothing more than software upgrades. I own 8 seats of Version 20. It's not a bad program for what it is/costs and I've produced a mountain of good code with it. One thing it isn't: Conversational. The training CD's are a must.

Their highly versed and rehearsed sales team called me the other day and insisted that I upgrade to version 21. I asked "why should I?" "You're convinced I need to, what is the reason?" From what I could gather, there is absolutely no difference from 20 to 21 save a few new import features that may or may not work. I didn't upgrade. I'm still using 20.7 and will be until I'm convinced I need to upgrade.

In my opinion, they have a long way to go before they can claim they have released a "new version", If Art did the same as them, we'd be using "Mach 792" :-)

Bobcad V21 STILL doesn't have a post processor.
It has various config files that you have to select in order, tool, speeds. coolant etc.

I have just ran one of their simple demo's, selected all the entities and told it to machine it on auto.

No tool selected, no feeds selected, no Z depth selected.

Any program with a proper post procesor whould have asked what tool, what feed etc.

For $1100 you have a good choice out there instaed of being sucked in by these shysters hawking a 10 year old program around.

No-one works this way any more.
