Hi Joe,
I did actually throw it away - but only because my son borrowed it to try on
his computer and somehow managed to fry one of the chips in it. However,
from the time I installed the CD writer, I never actually used the zip drive
again as it was too slow in operation compared with a CD and the limit of
100MB on the early version I had was just too small. Also, of course, even
at the best prices I could find, zip disks were over a dozen times more
expensive than a CD so, as I said, I now tend to just dump data onto cheap
CDs for which I am currently paying 49 pence UK (about 60 cents), and just
throw them away when I am finished with them (or use them as hi-tech beer
mats!)
