The control is about five years old. From the very beginning I was
getting ASSERTION FAILURES. It was a software problem I was told.
It was sent back a number of times, but with the same result.
Sometimes it would not happen for six months, and then would begin
again. Fast forward to this week. I was sent out the latest version
of software hoping this would solve the problem. Nope! In fact I got
an X axis position failure. I called Acu-rite and it was determined,
after were changed cables, it was a bad reader. Those go for three
hundred and fifty five dollars. The glass scale is fine, just a bad
reader. The tech said he was 99% sure it would fix the problem.
However, even if this is fixed, I still have the first problem. Does
this sound familiar to anyone? Thanks
PS is it possible to rebuild the reader?
