Hi all,
I am planning on building a compound table for a cnc
mill. I can't buy one here (South Africa) for anything
like a reasonable price. Now I know most are
constucted from cast iron, but as it is so messy to
machine (and a friend has offered to machine it) I
want to find a steel that I can use. I am going to use
gib strips for fine adjustment, but I dont want any
binding or "picking up" of the sliding faces. Any
ideas greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Brian
