Blender and g-code?

Anyone know a free tool that for generating g-code from an stl or dxf file
will work on my linux system/under the wine emulator?*
I got my mill to do "Hello World!" using g-code generated from a text->g-code
tool,
http://www.timeguy.com/cradek/truetype
but now I'm trying to mill this simple cone in I created in Blender. Blender
can output it as cone.stl and cone.dxf, but I'm not sure what program or
script to use to generate g-code using that cone.
I just spent three hours fighting with Gershenfeld's python script cam.py,**
but wasn't able to get it to work.

*Heck, the used $50 desktop I picked up as a machine controller has windows me
on the hard drive that came in it, so I'm willing to use that as well.
**Utterly ****ing undocumented.
