I recently helped a couple Teckno Esel owners with their machines. The
reason for the bnrake on the Z axis was the 3hp router combined with a
ballscrew. With loss of power to the servo motor the Z axis would back spin
and crash into the table. They solved that problem by using an air cylinder
with an air accumulator to equal the load of the router on the Z axis.
