Hi Brian,

it is not against the rules, but quite the contrary, BUILDING machines
is what this list is dedicated to !

I have seen some couplers on the surplus sites quite a few times.

many times they have a internal lip to go on a shaft with a flat.
Boring that out would require a lathe.

If you have a lathe, they are easy enough to make from raw stock.

Anyone know of any of the surplus sites that has coupliers ?

I'm going to be making some for a project I'm working on, in just a
few days. if you don't find another source, let me know.

I will be boring out 3/4 aluminum, 6061-T6 because it is on my
shelves, and making 1/4"x 1'4", but I think it would be easy to make
1/4" bu 3/8"

just need the allen head cap screws for the side clamp, or set screws
if it goes onto a shaft flat.
