Hi all,
Last week, we had a few nice photos submitted for the home page pic.
Questions on-list are welcome as it is about
designing and building machines.
Tony Jeffree submitted this weeks pic
with these comments.
Photo is of a lathe conversion work in progress
- tailstock end of a Myford ML-7
showing the NEMA 23 double stack (~220 oz-in)
stepper motor mounted behind the bed,
A 2:1 toothed belt reduction driving the leascrew.
The standard plain bearing at the tailstock
end of the screw has been modified to use
needle roller thrust bearings.
