1 & 2 are no problem, 3 shouldn't be a problem either.
regarding # 3

Should each axis have the 4 memories?
One button for each axis?
Or one button switches both axis'
In other words, can X axis be on memory 2 and Z axis be on memory 4?

If someone wants a 4th axis naming it wont be a problem.

Yes, when setting an axis to a specific value the program sends the
new value to the dro card. Display won't change without a card installed.
