Yes. Have you ever seen a picture of a trunnion table? When you hear about
a 5 axis VMC (not a turning center), usually, that's how the machine is
configured. Haas has a bunch of movies and pictures of them in action.
It's basically a horizontal rotary table attached to a regular vertical
fourth axis, with support on both sides. See
