Apologies Bill, if this is straying a little from the path.

With regard to the relationship between Sieg and Syil

Sieg are a Shanghai based manufacturer of lathes and mills in two series or
price groups. Syil are also a Chinese based company who supply kits of parts
to equip Sieg machines with CNC. Or alternatively, you can buy a complete
Sieg based machine from Syil already fitted with CNC. Both companies are
represented in North America and in Australia, among others.

I personally have a Sieg lathe (manual control) and a Sieg X-3 mill to which
I retro-fitted Syil CNC ballscrews, steppers and brackets, etc.
