My only comment is his 3 CFM spec. I have an electric air
bearing spindle that also uses the compressed air for motor
cooling, and it uses just a tiny bit more air than this.
Without using the air for cooling, this thing must have LARGE
clearances, and that can lead to spindle instability. There are
a bunch of tricks to making an air bearing stable, but one of
them is to get the clearance down as small as you can go.
