Mess with it until something works :) I don't have the intelicad program but
most cad software is the same for basic work.
Try a few, the simpler the better, and you will soon pick up the basics. I'm
sure there will be better suggestions but I would recommend trying Qcad (free
download). Its not over complicated and is the route I took to get to grips
with the cad command interface, though I tend to set the grid spacing to 5mm
and use the "snap to grid" function to sketch things out quickly more often
than the command line.
Another free demo worth trying from ribbonsoft is camexpert, more or less qcad
with a g-code extension. It's not cheap and I'm guessing not many folks here
use the paid for version but I will happily pay for the commercial version of
Qcad. It's not expensive considering how usefull the free version has been
for me.
