Hi Guys,
I need a copy of Version 18 disc # 2 of the 4 CD training set. I
called Bobcad this morning and they said they'd replace my entire set,
but later called to inform me that they didn't have any left. They
offered to upsell me V22, but I only the information for one 3D
operation only, which Sheetcam can't do. So I hope it's OK to ask for
it on this list, seeing as how it appears Bobcad is unable to support
it any longer.
When I first recieved the program with the 4 CD training
material, disc#4 wouldn't play and Bobcad replaced it immediately
with a silver, regular looking CD. That was Dec/03. The original CD's
were all black and opaque at the hub hole. I was able to train off
the 4 discs and made notes of topics on the sleeves; there was no index.
This #2 disc is in mint condition. I keep CD's in the sleeve or
the deck to prevent scratches and marks. I got a feeling that the
black CD material deteriorates over time and the reading deck is
unable to threshold the information. I tried it in 3 modern systems -
no luck.
If my assumption is correct, it might be worthwhile to copy all
of your black, opaque CD's over to newer silver CD's or you may suffer
the same fate as me.
cheers,
Denis
