Motor Wiring Need Help

Hi all,
I'm using a Gecko G320 on my mill , I'm putting a 10 Amp Fuse in the
mid. of the wire between the motor and the driver, this fuse helps me
not to load the machine with heavy cutting loads.

The Fuse is getting too hot on long cutting programs but not burnt ,
here I'm suspecting that it causes the drive to lose position , if I
stop for a minute the drive restarts working good .

Is this a possible reason to lose position ? should I remove the Fuse?
