Hi,
I've started a thread on the CNCZone to document the construction of a DIY
handheld pendant for use with Mach3.
http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57759
Part of the reason for doing this is that I've committed to do a
presentation at the CNC Convention / BBQ (Melbourne Aus) held on 24th may
2008.
I'm use a fairly standard enclosure, a free DXF editor, sheetcam and Mach3
to cut out the enclosure.
I'll be using Modbus and a ModIO (of course. :-) ) to communicate with the
pendant. I'll also be using a few Mach3 brains as well.
Hopefully in the end it will provide a reasonably comprehensive end to end
tutorial on how to build a pendant, to use Sheetcam, Brains and Mach.
Any input would be great.
Cheers,
Peter.
