Hello, all,
I just wanted to let everyone know I have gotten a resolver to
quadrature converter board working. I have tested it with a
couple different models of Harowe Servo Controls "Haro-Syn"
resolvers, and they work quite well. The board runs off 5 Volts
and produces A and B quadrature signals just like any encoder.
It also produces a Z signal, and all these are differential, if
you need that. (Normal single-ended outputs are available by
using just one of the differential outputs.) It also provides a
closed circuit when the resolver signal quality is OK, this can
be wired into the Estop chain to shut down the machine if a wire
to the resolver breaks, for instance.
See http://jelinux.pico-systems.com/resolver.html
for more info.
