I saw the Rotating Torque Sensors on ebay
the other day
got me thunking
has anyone ever used these or hooked up a amp meter to
a bridgeport sized machine and measured how much power it
actually takes to take cuts say 1/2 end mill roughing or to rapid traverse
I know there are formula's to figure the HP required for cutting
but (real world) data off a working machine would be interesting
