New product announcement > PMDX-125 MultiMode Breakout Board

The PMDX-125 MultiMode Breakout Board from PMDX is
now in volume production and available from stock.

This new board continues the evolution of our
product line by adding advanced features such as:

1) Support for the SmoothStepper as a daughter board

2) Expanded modes to provide up to 4 additional inputs
and 4 additional outputs using a single parallel port

3) Ability to interface with 24 volt inputs like PLCs

4) Support for up to 6 axes using a SmoothStepper or dual
parallel ports

5) Interface to directly support Geckodrive servo products
with ERR/RST pin allows fault sensing AND reset under
computer control

6) One on-board relay rated for 30 amperes for direct
switching of power for small and medium size single
phase spindle motors

7) On-board 115/230 volt AC input mains power supply that
is adequate for powering common accessories including
the SmoothStepper, PMDX spindle controllers, and PMDX
accessory I/O boards

8) Pulse stretching circuit to allow use of encoders with
narrow index pulses to be used for spindle pickup

9) Advanced "charge pump/watchdog" function is enhanced
to avoid "teasing" by the Windows boot sequence

10) Built in test can run motors without a host computer to
allow testing of wiring and adjusting stepper motor drivers

PMDX will be displaying the new PMDX-125 and many of our
other products at the Cabin Fever Expo this coming weekend,
Saturday and Sunday the 16th & 17th of January.
