Hi Guys:
The program Gearotic Motion is nearing completion, I thought Id show a video of the ratcheting facility. Both recoil and ratchet type wheels
can be made. Spoking is now possible of the gears and many changes have been done to allow it all to run on smaller monitors.
(thank you beta testers..) Videos dont really do it justice as the capture programs are cpu bogged when Gearotica is running..but..
Heres the latest video of GearoticMotions project screen. For those who havent seen Gearotic Motion before it is basically a very advanced
Wizard for producing gearing of many types and visualising mechanisms that can be cut from wood or metal, the outputs of the program
are dxf's ( 2d and 3d), print files, solids for 3d printers to use,Gcode, and drill shaft files showing the center holes for shafts to build any simple devices
you create. Its main purpose is to show people that gearing isnt something to be afraid of as a hobbiest, and that anyone with a cnc machine (or
even a simple scrollsaw) can create objects that many have shied away from. It takes less than 1 minute to create a simulation such as this one..
Its only noted hazard so far is the screen is somewhat mesmerizing and we've lost a few hours just staring at the screen around here. :-)
