media that is exposed through a mechanical device -- a "camera" if you will
-- that exposes about 35 or so images on some plastic "film" to be
chemically processed at a later date and viewed through optical projection.

And yes, the Lithophane process looks really cool. I do ornamental iron
'art stuff' and table lanterns are part of it -- instead of using a mica
screen, a Lithophane would be awesome; especially a custom one...
