RE: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] Stepper Driver Kit

There are loads of these types of drives made with the same chipsets. The
chipsets are fine when used properly but most of these boards are designed
to be cheap and are not well made. As Ron said they can be touchy and a lot
of people regularly blow up the driver chips.

It all comes down to value. One item may be less expensive than another but
not be as good as a value. If the less expensive one fails all the time and
does not perform as well when it is running it may not be as good a value.

If you want a good solid stepper driver it is hard to go wrong with a G540.
My opinion may be biased since I sell them. Even though you will spend more
you get a much more capable driver, if it ever does break Gecko will fix it
for you. It is also in a sturdy aluminum case.

Sorry, no. But these are complete junk:
Ebay Item: #290539246495

They are so flaky, the seller makes a video to prove to you it was
working when shipped. They are very touchy.
