Chuck,
Are you using original screws on the mini-mill? . Yours looks like backlash but a bit much. Be sure your screw nuts are held tighly by the set screws. I ended up changing to ball screws because of backlash issues. It was easier than I thought but required using another mill to hog out the bottom of the table to accomodate the nut/screw.

Just uploaded a picture of first attempt (after reassembly) of a 1.5" circle. Not a Michelangelo moment, but the Y max/min transitions look pretty good. I was surprised to watch the unit take off in a straight line on the far left side. Is this a backlash setting issue in MACH or something else - like steps per unit? BTW Y is about 0.040 taller than X. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO/photos/album/1323585980/pic/2048327748/view?picmode=large&mode=tn&order=ordinal&start=1&dir=asc
Thanks, Chuck
