Minimill Belt drives

Hi guys,
I haven't posted in a while but I am getting going again. I just wrote a blog post about upgrading my Minimill to Belt drive. I used the Sterling Steele upgrade kit that I got from Littlemachine shop. I took a video of the conversion and posted it on Youtube.
Next up I am going to add the Shumatech DRO and scales I built to the mill. I am trying to decide if I should add the DRO first or do the CNC conversion first? I am using Sterling Steele's conversion plans. Any thoughts?
