Hi all.
I am new to CNC
can anyone give me some advice please. I have a wabecco mill with the flashcut four axis controller. I have added a stepper motor to a small woodlathe to use as the fourth axis ( clamping the lathe to the bed of the mill ) I want to turn spirals and flutes, also use the machine to add decoration similar to the old ornamental turning set ups of the victorian era. can anyone tell me what software would be good to use for the spirals ( similar to barley twist ) and the fluting and slotted decoration work. I would like to learn to write Gcode programs for the more simple jobs if possible, would this be a difficult thing
to learn regarding the spirals/fluting etc.?
Any help or advice you can give me will be very much appreciated.
