I use a Harig Feed & Speed Calculator, a nomograph that shows correct feeds and speeds for milling and tuning operations. I got it years ago from the National Tooling and Machining Association.

My workshop 'Bible' is Screw Threads and Twist Drills by Ian Bradley, published by MAP, it covers imperial and metric.
