For a good cause - Part 103(Ultralight Airplanes)
on 2013-02-09 11:29:23 UTC
_Hello_ (http://wh.gov/pMu2) :
One time Plea!
There is a Petition to the US Government, to change the Rules for Part
103(Ultralight Airplanes) to increase the Total Plane Weight Limit of 254lbs,
which only allows a very small engine to be used, about 30hp Max, which in
turn, limits the weight of the Pilot to about Max of 180lbs. So many people
in this world are being discriminated against for their height & weight. I
was 6' 197lbs for football in 10/11/12th grade myself.
They are also limited to only 5 gallons of gas. The average small 30hp
engine burns 3 gals of gas per hour. So that means about 1:10hr of flight, with
maybe a Safety Reserve of :20 minutes.
Go here to Vote, it take's only 2 minutes, we need 100,000 signatures in a
very short time, for them to even look at it. Please pass this on to your
friends, it's for a good cause.

I have a petition on wh.gov for either increasing the weight of
Ultralight's or issuing waivers because I'm personally tired of the blatant
discriminatory nature of Ultralight's only being available to a certain demographic
of people who are small and lightweight. I won't argue the point, but if
you're interested, please consider signing my petition.
