ADMIN: New Yahoo format issues

To the owner'se, moderators, and members of the CCED group, Yahoo is
making changes that will effect our group in big ways, and seems like most will
not be positive at the present time. This will also effect any other Yahoo
groups you belong to so I guess I can only say be patient.

We're posting to let you know that Yahoo is rolling out a new format for
groups, called Neo. Apparently many, MANY users are having huge problems
with it (unable to see their groups, unable to log in, unable to post, etc).
In addition to being very different from the format we're used to, it
reduces the available options to a small subset of what we currently have, and
it's also pretty buggy (in effect, we're beta testing it for Yahoo). That
said, probably lots of people aren't having any problems with it, and they're
just silent :-)
This new rollout is probably related to the message delivery delays we've
been seeing, as well, since their servers are probably heavily loaded.
The Neo rollout is by user, which means that some of us will be on Neo
before others. When your account changes over, there will be a "neo" included
in the URL of the group when you go to the webpage. The group still exists,
and it's the same group. It just LOOKS different. Please be aware that
there is nothing the moderation team can do to prevent this, and not much we
can do to help.
A gentleman in Scotland is building a tool to assist moderators in dealing
with this (write offlist for details if you are interested), but it won't
be ready immediately, so there may be issues that can't be dealt with
through the usual channels. Your patience will be appreciated.
