Hmm--I'm on a bunch of Yahoo groups, have apparently
been "selected" to be on "neo" and the results vary
a lot group by group. On one group I'm getting the
  and other entities including, for a US English
keyboard apostrophe (!), and for the "greater than"
used to indicated quoted lines; at least one list is
"clean" so far.

What bugs me the most is that, since I carry a few
low volume lists on no mail, I am having issues doing
my online checks. Real bummer.

That could be the problem. I have plain text selected
and the "clean" list has mostly old time computerists
on board so they're probably sending in plain text.
