From an old USENET post of mine to rec.crafts.metalworking:
"For an in depth (as deep as you'll ever see) discussion of gun laws direct
from the horse's (BATF) mouth try http://www.atf.treas.gov/pub/index.htm .
Scroll down to "Firearms and Explosives Publications" and check out the
offerings there. I think "P5300.4 -- Federal Firearms Regulation Reference
Guide" will be especially useful to those contemplating any gun building
activity."
