Opps.... maybe I'd better explain. That is 0.02 nm in wavelength resolution not mechanical resolution.
The stepper motor drives a screw as in a micrometer which drives the sine bar ....which changes the angle on the grating, which
then delivers a different wavelength to the slits and thence to the photomultiplier.

BTW I think I listed the wavelength of the Cu line as 224.7 not 324.7 as if it makes any difference.
