I can't get my pc to run freqmod at all with the 0.000015 period
that your ini file suggests that you are using. I have a cyrix pr300 and
can only get to a period of 0.00004 and still have anything left for the
gui.
I normally run 4000 steps per inch but reset the ini file to 8000. At
that frequency, above about 60 ipm I loose steps rather consistently with
freqmod. It does seem to creep in one direction rather than being random.
I used the same settings with steppermod.o and found that I could get a
little higher speed 65 ipm before I started loosing steps. It seems to me
that there is some kind of upper bound in the steppermod software around 10
kpps. If I remember correctly Fred mentioned an upper limit around 5 kpps.
Did you try to run using steppermod.o.? My 10x microsteppers work fairly
well with it.
