I think that changing the list will create a nightmare to do. There are over
700 list members to try to switch, archives and files lost on egroups. Plus
there are links to the list around the web where, they have been added in CNC
type of sites. I am just not prepared to handle that. I think that our eyes
will soon adjust automatically and dismiss the advertisements, just as they
do on the rest of the web.
I don't like them either, but the only way I can see that it will possibly
stop is if they get a few million suggestions, and if no one will click on
any advertisement on the top of the post.
Locally here in Alb. they are now putting an Icon on the TV screens, down in
the corner. As long as there is money to be made it will happen.
