No flames were intended, everybody has their own opinion and flames
thankfully are missing from this list.
A couple of points though.

First Ahha:
Cost especially for most users on this list is of great importance
but if you look carefully at Ahha's build up it's avaiable in blocks
from the CNC pro board at something like $580 to a full sysyem with
stepper drivers etc.
Some people want to use their own drivers in a retrofit, other don't
have any.
Secondly Flashcut is about the same price as the full Ahha board and
that also needs outside drivers and motors.
Third EMC:
Being free and linux based it appeals to a lot of people but if you
look back through this list most of the mail is about getting Linux
and EMC to run. Many people can handle this but a lot either don't
have the time or experiance.
I fall into the both classes so I have to have something that I can
use straight out of the box
