system is.
As well as being able to be used on simple home shop machines this
same system can also be used on large complex machining centres with
large tool changers and in built PLC commands. Comparing it to other
systems in the same range non of the others has the same features
such as tool offsets, <snip>
John,
Some of us do realize the ahha! package for what it is. Relative to
the others most often mentioned in this list, it IS in another league.
Also in another league in price! That's okay by me. I've had and used
ahha for YEARS.
Also most of the other software mentioned on this list. As if you all
hadn't noticed. They ALL have their good points, They ALL have their
bad points. Ahha included, and not just the price.
I'm not gonna flame anybody, there's no point. We've all heard good
and bad about everyone, at some time. But sometimes the decision
rests on more than just the software!

P.S. EMC is getting closer to the Ahha! overall capability every day.
Indeed it already surpasses ahha! in some areas. But we don't know
what the internal specs for the EMC project will lead to, and it may
leave out some important parts. Already has, but it IS free, and it
IS open source!
Maybe we could start a thread RE: CNC control wishlist? What matters
to you? What doesn't? And at what price?
