Another mill available

There's another CNC mill available, in working condition. It's the twin
of my Millport, with an Innovator control. Step pulley head w/2 speed
motor, it's good for 5400 rpm. #30 NMTB taper, and he's got a ton of
holders, I'd guess 30+
The quill drive costs about 1" of Z travel, for a total available 4".
Z is belt driven at 1:2 ratio, X and Y are direct drive N42 frame motors
rated to 10 amps.
The control is funky to say the least, yet surprisingly powerful.
There is NO serial port, all programs must initially be entered by hand,
then stored to tape. All programming is incremental.
However, this fellow has used the two mills since the early 80's to make
his living. I'd suspect however, that anyone here that wanted the
machine would strip the control same as I did. I didn't look this
machine over very closely when I was there, but it did appear to be
reasonably well maintained.
He called me last week to ask if I was interested in the 2nd one, which
I wasn't, but I didn't think to ask what he wanted. He was asking $3000
for mine, I got $500 off for leaving the control behind as a spare for
the one he's selling now. Also, he was upfront about mine having a noisy
head. Suspect he's going to want $4000 for this one, maybe more.
He's slowly liquidating his shop in preperation for retirement.
Mill is in Martinez, California. Forgot his name, but it's R&D Metal
Products, 925-228-4261. He's somewhat hard of hearing and rarely answers
the phone directly, but if you leave a message he will return your call.

This mill probably isn't a screaming deal for a strict hobbyist, but the
large tooling package will make it attractive to anyone that is looking
to make a few $$ in their shop. Even scoring tooling on eBay, these
holders add up quickly!

FWIW, I have no interest in the sale of the second machine, he's a very
nice fellow and I thought I'd post here for his, and possibly a list
member's benefit.
