Wanting to load up linux

Hi group I just got all the stuff I need I hope. So I can load up
Linux in the shop Computer here it is 586 CPU 32 megs of ram S3
virge video card.
I think it's a fgp sound card and 720megs on the hard
drive .Now the question is How much of Linux do you need to load on
your system to then load up EMC .. next is there a DRO that also
runs on linux or is Emc the same thing . I am going to try Linux for
the first time since I talked to Dave at the NAMES show in Detroit.
Looked good there. I hope I'm not jumping in to far with out a life
line here thats why I'm using an old 586 first trying to learn on
this one first.
