Hello,
I just joined the group and wanted say Hi. I recently bought a
milling machine on Ebay, and by coincidence I was looking at
Tim's website and saw a picture of an identical mill sitting at the
same place I got mine. It seems we both got 2 of 3 mills they were
selling. So now the adventure begins in retrofitting and luckily we
can exchange ideas and findings.
I'm an embedded DSP programmer with a hardware design background
also. This translates to too many hobbies and not as much time as
I'd like.
My current agenda is to:
1) Get measurements of the mill to Tim since he also is putting it in
a garage.
2) Get tooling for the Quickchange holder on it.( some type of 40
taper)
3) 2phase to 3phase conversion. I'm planning on visiting motor shops
and junkyards this weekend.
4) Finish getting a small lathe from either enco or harborfreight.
Thanks,
Lee Studley
