Re: PC based Controllers with USB?

Last I heard, FlashCut was definately going to use USB in their 32
bit release. I have not heard different to date, and was also told by
a "little bird" that it is already a working software, being
fine tuned and scheduled for release sometime in november.

What are the performance characteristics of the USB, as opposed to
parallel or serial port controllers? Is this a practical approach to
take for machine control?
