The particular level of that ftp site has no files on it.
On a different level is a program called "dbltsetup.exe". Is this the file in question?
Here's the thing. I have a new apprentice, and unlike my training where we spent months filing spade drills out of O-1 and such, I
actually want her to learn something useful, and want to get her started on CAD right away. The native application around here is
Ashlar Vellum 3D, a wonderful and easy to use program, but I'm not quite in a position to spring 2400. for a new platform of
Vellum. Also, her computer is a windows machine, which I got primarily to use Vector, for doing CAM work when my new CNC machines
arrive. Vector seems like a good program, but as a primary cad platform, well, lets say it's not very intuitive. (Do you really
have to type in the coordinates of every piece of geometry you draw?) Also it lacks commands like polar duplicate which I think
are essential.
So, I downloaded the above mentioned file on my Mac, and tried to put it on a PC format floppy, which is my only cross platform
file xfer method. The file is about twice as big as will fit on a single floppy. Does anyone know of a way to split up an .exe
file to fit it on several disks? Or will Ashlar sell Drawing board on a CD rom?
Any help would be appreciated.
