In this months PT Design they have an article titled "Industrial
Eye-opener". Below is a quote from that article:
"And it's true that Windows can't handle sophisticated machines nor any
time-critical operation. However, robot, CNC, and Motion control companies
have solved this problem by using the real-time operating extension, VxWin,
with Windows to permit VxWorks, the popular real-time operating system, to
run concurrently."
Maybe Art's on the right track!
Well, for this thing to work, it takes a board, installed in your computer,
polling an interupt. I know nothing about this system, just what I search
on the net for. Search for VxWin if yah want to read more.
