Mill backlash

Well I have thought that I needed to get ballscrews or anti backlash nuts to go on the mini mill. The other day I took the whole thing apart, lapped the gibs and scrubbed out the dovetails w/ a scotch brite pad. There was alot of grit and mess in there. Put it all back together and carefully
adjusted the retaining screws that hold the lead screw nut.
There is so little backlash that I cant really tell.
At least for now that solved the problem. I still like the idiah of 1/2-10 lead screws though.
