Both are correct. Design sounds more sophisticated, so it is used more
often;)

Electrical discharge machine - erodes metals with electrical current rather
than cutting them. Very simple, and very overpriced because it works so
well.

CMM - coordinate measuring machine. Computer controlled dimensional

DMM - digital multi-meter. Used to trace electrical problems in EDM's,
DRO's and CMM's.

BFH - large hammer. Used on cheap DMM's to prevent their further use.

DXF - Drawing exchange format. CAD file format that Autocad changes each
time the rest of the world gets caught up with the previous format. (Yes,
boss, I know it's gonna be expensive, but now that we have three stations
using R.15 none of the other CAD stations are compatable.)

DEAD NUTS - a phrase meaning "to the utmost accuracy".
