Hi people:
Serious digression here: some years ago I borrowed some books from state library ( or was it LC) on early steelmaking in England.
Most fasinating. Essentially case-harden iron....Swedish if possible. then forge and roll into various grades of carbon steel....or
use as feed material for a crucible process.
Written by a graduate student... I assume 'in partial fullfilment' for a degree...etc.
At times boring and at times really interesting. We don't know how soft (ugh bad pun) we have it.
