To all the CNC geniuses,
I am going to embark on my first mission of converting
a Unimat 1 Classic Tool to CNC and is dreaming of
sticking a couple of stepper motors (probably need
some with very high torque as the screws seem very
stiff) to the contraption and coupling the motor to
the hand-driven “steering wheel” by timing belts. I
have zero experience with stepper motors, etc. and
wish to beg for some assistance and/or advice and/or
leads to where I can purchase the necessary
components. A million thanks in advance
Peter
Senior Lecturer, beggar, cheapskate, virgin CNCer,
etc., etc. etc.
