But you can do that on the spot. On the "oops" screen (which you'll get if
you're not signed up for the group), click on the "subscribe" link to the
left. On the next screen, check the box "Don't send me email, I'll read
the messages at the Web site", and then you'll have access to the group's
website but you won't get any emails from it. I do that a lot when
"browsing" groups. Also, on the "My Groups" screen, the pulldown menu to
the right of each group in the Delivery Options column has an "unsubscribe"
option now. It's really easy to join and leave groups.
