These are the two sources for info. I'd depend on the MFG
specifications first but Machinery's Handbook describes the
fits in more detail. I've found SKF's site useful:

Their Interactive Engineering Catalog is very helpful and is
also available on CD. Don't be fooled, there are sections for
"bearing tolerances" and "bore/shaft tolerances". It does depend
on the service and use but SKF gives a good explanation.

I've found I can't hold the tolereances specified by the MFG. So
I just get as close as I can and put it together. Maybe when I
get my CNC up and running.... :-)
