Nothing wrong with that....and the antifreeze does have a wee bit of lubricating properties too....not much...but every little bit helps.

BTW....did you know if you soak green wood in polyethelene glycol (anti freeze) the wood won't crack?

Gunstock manufacturers do this now...and have been doing so for quite a while.

You mention using water in the coolent systems...I had an old mill
with a coolent pump in the garage. Of cource in the winter it would
freeze so i ran antifreeze in my coolant as well.
