[CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO]Threading

Hi list

I AM a total novice in the electronics department. My question is,, is there any simple way of feeding the output signals from
an encoder on the spindle to the computer so that the steps can be counted in a basic program. (IE in order to slave the X axis to a
ratio of the speed of the spindle for threading.)
